Fiction Fantastic

Although I enjoyed the book, I don't get why this book was voted the best book ever.
I think this book is intended for younger readers to maybe help them come to terms with certain issues like racism and doing what is right even when it's difficult, but as an adult, I feel that I've already learned most of these lessons and I didn't really feel earth shattering revelations from the topics raised, although I did feel moved by them and related to them.
I also felt that the plot was a bit all over the place. There was a lot of emphasis placed on Dill and Boo Radley, and at the end of the day, they were not that important and was just there. Except maybe for Boo...
I also didn't feel like the author pulled me in so that I was a part of the story instead of just reading about it.
