You can tell this was a very young King. His signature style is there, but definitely not as refined or brilliant as I've come to know him. I found myself skimming a lot of passages that was just unnecessary and long winded, but overall the book was okay. I'm not quite sure if there's any other message other than that kids, and teenagers in particular, are scary as shit.
