The Golden Lily
I was torn between 3 or 4 stars, and although is more of a 3 1/2 again, I duos enjoy this one more than the first. I'm not a fan of everything happening so close together, as it's so unlikely and I think she could have added a couple more months between this book and the first. The character development in this book was also a little wishy washy... I started out pretty much hating Sydney, but she's slowly staying to redeem herself... on the other hand, I feel like Dimitri's character was just completely destroyed. Sure she kept the basic facts of his looks and training etc, but it really bugged me that he was okay with being away from Rose all that time. I also can't believe Rose wouldn't have dropped everything to be there for the battle with the warriors.
I thought the romance was cliche'd and obviously, but considering that's generally how it is in the real world too, I can get over that... I'm still hopeful that this series will reach the level of all the other series I've read by Richelle Mead...
